Troy Bowling Grabs Two Varsity Wins at Woodcrest Lanes

The Troy High School bowling teams hit the road to Union City on Monday and came away with a varsity sweep over Greenville at Woodcrest Lanes. The Trojans claimed wins in both varsity matches, while the JV squads battled hard in a pair of competitive contests.

Varsity Boys: Troy 2,012 – Greenville 1,968

The Varsity Boys improved to 2-0 after edging out Greenville in a tight match that came down to the Baker games. Troy trailed after Game 1 but surged ahead with a strong 857 in Game 2, then held off a late push from the Green Wave.

The Trojans’ clutch Baker scores of 213 and 157 ultimately sealed the road win.

Varsity Girls: Troy 1,873 – Greenville 1,513

The Varsity Girls also moved to 2-0, putting together a consistent performance from start to finish. Troy opened with games of 745 and 802, gaining separation early before steady Baker scores wrapped up the victory.

Massingill led the way with an impressive 411 series, helping the Trojans control the match throughout.

JV Boys: Greenville 1,403 – Troy 1,314

The JV Boys dropped a competitive matchup to fall to 1-1. After a close first game, Greenville pulled ahead with a big 634 in Game 2, and Troy’s late push in the Baker games wasn’t enough to close the gap.
