The Troy High School bowling teams faced a tough road matchup Tuesday night at Woodman Lanes, taking on Fairmont in a four-match sweep despite strong individual performances across all levels.

The varsity boys fell 2,337–2,016 after keeping pace through the opening games before Fairmont pulled away in the baker and match-play frames. Kyle Wickman led Troy with a consistent series of 202 and 191 for a team-best 393, while Sam Swanson added 357 with games of 192 and 165. Zadok Reeves contributed a solid 308 series, and Caleb Young followed with 317 as the Trojans battled throughout the night. Troy’s varsity boys move to 4–4 on the season.

In varsity girls action, Troy dropped a close contest, 2,018–1,893, in a match that remained competitive until the final frames. Baylie Massingill turned in a standout performance, rolling games of 191 and 210 for a 401 series to pace the Trojans. Libby Burghardt was steady with a 340 series, while Cora Coate and Kari Hoover each added 294. Despite the loss, the varsity girls remain atop their season with a 7–1 record.

The JV boys ran into a strong Fairmont lineup, falling 2,206–1,683. Jaxson Frey led Troy with an impressive 364 series, highlighted by a 222 game, while Carson King added 313 and Sylar Combs chipped in 302. The JV boys now stand at 5–4 on the season.

JV girls action saw Troy come up just short in a narrow 1,230–1,171 loss. Hailee Overholser led the Trojans with a 239 series, followed closely by Cecily Greene’s 236. Abby Weikert added 194 as Troy continued to show improvement despite the setback. The JV girls are still searching for their first win and move to 0–7 on the year.

Troy will look to bounce back in their next match as the Trojans continue league play and build toward the postseason.
