Troy High School Bowling Teams Split with Sidney at Troy Bowl

TROY, OH – The Troy High School bowling program competed against Sidney High School on Tuesday at Troy Bowl, with both teams showing strong efforts across varsity and junior varsity levels.

Varsity Boys came up just short in a close matchup, falling 2,289-2,245. Standout performances included Sam Swanson, who led the team with a 433 series, and Zadok Reeves contributing a 395 series. Other contributors were Kyle Wickman (387), Caleb Young (337), and Seth Greene (299). The boys improve to a 5-7 overall record, 5-6 in Miami Valley League (MVL) play.

Varsity Girls dominated Sidney, winning 1,968-1,464. Leading the charge was Baylie Massingill with a 456 series, followed by Libby Burghardt (353) and Kari Hoover (349). Additional contributions came from December Byrd (93), Cora Coate (99), and Hailee Overholser (250). The victory improves Troy’s record to 10-2 overall and 10-1 in MVL competition.

JV Boys also secured a win, topping Sidney 1,689-1,453. High series for Troy included Jaxson Frey (346), Carson King (305), and Sylar Combs (289). Others contributing were Ayden Bandy (148), Jackson Hermann (61), Arturo Martinez (212), and Owen Waterman (242), giving the JV boys a 9-6 record on the season.

JV Girls did not have an opponent, as Sidney did not field a full team. The Troy JV Girls bowled for score, with strong individual performances from Cecily Greene (238), Paige Rabatsky (142), Shelbie Dilbone (175), Leah Ohls (136), Blain Ayichew (115), Abby Weikert (166), and Morgan Sibley (106).

The Troy bowling teams return to action next week with MVL matchups, continuing their strong season across all levels.
