Troy High School bowling teams competed against Stebbins High School at Beaver-Vu Bowl in a Miami Valley League matchup featuring varsity boys, varsity girls, and junior varsity boys competition. Troy recorded one team victory on the varsity girls side and one victory in junior varsity boys play, while the varsity boys team was defeated by Stebbins.
In varsity boys action, Troy fell to Stebbins by a final score of 2,128–1,898. Troy posted game scores of 772 and 800, followed by baker games of 152 and 174, for a team total of 1,898. Stebbins recorded games of 880 and 834 with baker scores of 221 and 193 to reach 2,128. Individual scoring for Troy was led by Zadok Reeves with games of 165 and 216 for a 381 series. Sam Swanson bowled games of 141 and 178 for a 319 series, Caleb Young recorded 159 and 149 for a 308 series, Seth Greene posted games of 172 and 123 for a 295 series, Kyle Wickman added a 135 game, and Evan Schmidt contributed a 134 game. Following the match, the Troy varsity boys’ record stands at 6–10 overall and 6–9 in Miami Valley League play.
The varsity girls team earned a 1,852–1,639 win over Stebbins. Troy opened with games of 697 and 818 before recording baker games of 158 and 179 to reach the winning total. Stebbins finished with games of 701 and 693 and baker scores of 101 and 144. Baylie Massingill led all bowlers with games of 193 and 212 for a 405 series. Libby Burghardt added games of 184 and 184 for a 368 series, Kari Hoover recorded 137 and 152 for a 289 series, Hailee Overholser posted 94 and 148 for a 242 series, and Cora Coate contributed games of 89 and 122 for a 211 series. With the victory, the Troy varsity girls improved their record to 14–2 overall and 14–1 in Miami Valley League competition.
In junior varsity boys competition, Troy defeated Stebbins 1,425–1,410. Troy rolled games of 552 and 597 and followed with baker scores of 152 and 124. Stebbins recorded games of 609 and 525 with baker games of 149 and 127. Owen Waterman led Troy with games of 169 and 120 for a 289 series. Ayden Bandy recorded games of 92 and 137 for a 229 series, Sylar Combs posted 87 and 100 for a 187 series, Arturo Martinez added games of 81 and 79 for a 160 series, Jaxson Frey contributed a 161 game, and Carson King added a 123 game. The Troy junior varsity boys’ record now stands at 12–7 on the season.
