TROY, OH — The Troy High School bowling teams wrapped up their matchup against Piqua at Troy Bowl with strong performances across all levels, highlighted by the Varsity Girls capturing the Miami Valley League (MVL) Championship with their victory.

The Varsity Girls defeated Piqua 2,047–1,905, securing the MVL title and finishing the regular season with an impressive 17–3 overall record and 17–1 in conference play. Baylie Massingill led the Trojans with a standout series of 237 and 247 for a 484 total. Cora Coate added 200 and 181 for 381, while Libby Burghardt rolled 165 and 150 for 315. Kari Hoover contributed 171 and 104 (275), and additional scores came from December Byrd and Hailee Overholser.

The Varsity Boys fell in a close match, 2,343–2,337. Kyle Wickman and Sam Swanson each posted series totals of 467, with Wickman rolling 258 and 209, and Swanson rolling 188 and 235. Caleb Young added 394, Seth Greene had 361, and Evan Schmidt totaled 295. The Varsity Boys conclude the season at 9–11 overall and 8–10 in MVL play.

The JV Boys earned a convincing win, 1,834–1,541, improving their record to 15–8. Sylar Combs led with a 408 series, followed by Jaxson Frey with 374 and Owen Waterman with 300. Additional contributions came from Ayden Bandy, Carson King, Jackson Herrmann, Arturo Martinez, and others.

The JV Girls also picked up a victory, 1,084–789. Shelbie Dilbone rolled a 210 series, Paige Rabatsky had 189, and Morgan Sibley totaled 158. Additional scores came from Blain Ayichew, Cecily Greene, Leah Ohls, and Abby Weikert. The JV Girls finish the season at 2–11.

With the Varsity Girls earning the MVL Championship, the Troy Bowling program celebrates a strong season and looks ahead to postseason competition.
