Troy High School’s girls bowling team earned a fifth-place finish at the OHSAA Sectional Tournament at Woodman Lanes, securing advancement to the District Tournament as one of the top 10 qualifying teams out of 26 competitors.
Troy maintained a strong and consistent performance throughout the event, placing fourth after Game 1, sixth after Game 2, fourth after Game 3, and ultimately finishing fifth following Baker play.
The Trojans posted team game scores of 800, 767, and 843 for a three-game total of 2,410. In Baker competition, Troy added games of 119, 169, 157, 180, 149, and 149, totaling 923 pins. The team finished with an overall sectional total of 3,333 pins.
Individually, Baylie Massingill led Troy with games of 192, 190, and 184 for a 566 series. Libby Burghardt recorded a 507 series with games of 165, 191, and 151. Kari Hoover contributed a 436 series with games of 136, 118, and 182. Hailee Overholser added a 365 series with games of 154 and 211. Additional contributions came from December Byrd and Cora Coate, including Baker frames shared between the two.
With the sectional performance, Troy advances to the District Tournament, continuing postseason competition.
